Our Editorial Team
The JMBarrieSociety editorial team brings together editors, subject specialists and independent contributors devoted to the life, works and legacy of J. M. Barrie. Led by an Editor-in-Chief with section editors, fact-checkers and copy editors, we prioritise expertise, clarity and independence in every piece.
Editorial Line
We publish research-led features, archival notes, interviews and event reports that contextualise Barrie within literary, theatrical and cultural history. News, analysis and opinion are clearly distinguished; commentary is labelled as such. Our coverage is balanced, evidence-based and attentive to both historical sources and contemporary scholarship.
Journalistic Values
Accuracy, fairness and transparency guide our work. Claims are sourced, quotations verified and corrections issued when necessary, with a clear note of change. We respect privacy, avoid sensationalism and seek a right of reply where appropriate.
Ethics and Deontology
We follow recognised UK editorial standards and applicable law. Conflicts of interest are disclosed and managed. We do not accept inducements; sponsorship or partnerships are clearly identified and separated from editorial content. We avoid plagiarism, credit sources and protect confidential sources when warranted by public interest.
